    It gets blazing hot.

    While it claims to be 3S compatible, the 2S LiPo is the true “sweet spot” for this electronics combo. If you drop a 3S pack in the ZD Racing SC12 and do back-to-back full-throttle speed runs in thick grass, the 45A ESC and motor will hit thermal shutdown very quickly.

    If you want to bash on 3S, buying an aftermarket motor heatsink and a high-speed cooling fan is absolutely mandatory.
